Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators
This is Thursday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Thursday afternoon. Good
demand and tight supplies of available old crop soybeans pushed soybean
values up. The Census Bureau's July Crush report supported prices with
soybean crush at 129.4 million bushels. The cash soybean basis continues
to move up at many central Illinois processors increasing 10 to 20 cents
at many locations.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids mostly 3 to 5 cents higher at 3.07-3.24. Soybean bids were 7
to 10 cents higher at 11.01-11.36.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
up 2 to 3 cents at 3.10-3.23. Soybean bids were mostly 17 to 37 cents
higher at 11.23-11.43.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were steady to 2 cents
higher at 3.07-3.27. Soybean bids were mixed at 10.34-10.58. Wheat bids
were 3 to 4 cents lower at 2.80-2.95. Milo bids were steady to 3 cents
higher at 2.70-2.79.
