Bids as of 11:30 a.m.;   Subject to change

   Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during January by
rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt.  Bids for 14 percent protein dark northern spring
wheat are split for first and last half January delivery.  Bids for
soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified.  All other bids
are for full January delivery.

   March wheat futures ranged from 7-1/2 to 11 cents per bushel lower
compared to Mondays closes.

   Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for January Portland delivery were
steady to three cents per bushel lower compared to Mondays noon bids.
Lower Chicago March wheat futures weighed on bids.

   Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for January
Portland delivery were four to seven cents per bushel lower than
Mondays noon bids in response to moderately lower Kansas City March
wheat futures, although some exporters raised their basis to offset the
lower futures.

   Bids for 14 percent protein us 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat were
four to 11 cents per bushel lower than Mondays noon bids in reaction
to moderately lower Minneapolis March hard red spring wheat futures,
although some exporters raised their basis to offset the lower futures.

   Bids for US 2 barley were not well tested.  Most exporters were not
issuing bids for January delivery.

   Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn declined by 15 to 16-1/4 cents per cwt
compared to Mondays noon bids in response to moderately lower Chicago
March corn futures.
