Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the USDA
and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Wednesday afternoon.
Positioning ahead of Friday's USDA Crop Production report left corn
prices higher, soybean prices mixed and wheat prices lower. Traders
are expecting the USDA to decrease ending corn stocks from 938 million
bushels last month to 905 million bushels. Improving export sales also
supported corn prices.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 3 to 7 cents higher at 3.19-3.33. Soybean bids were mixed
at 6.20-6.34.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
3 to 7 cents higher at 3.34-3.41. Soybean bids were mixed at 6.30-6.36.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 2 to 6 cents
higher at 3.33-3.44. Soybean bids were steady to 4 cents lower at
6.30-6.41. Wheat bids were mostly 7 to 10 cents lower at 3.90-4.05.
Milo bids were mixed at 3.30-3.40.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
