Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Tuesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the USDA
and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were lower on Tuesday afternoon. Soybean
futures fell as corn prices turned lower and both soybean meal and oil
values were down. Wheat prices were lower due to very light export demand.
Basis levels for wheat were also lower at the gulf points. Basis fell 5
to 8 cents at many locations.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids 1 to 2 cents lower at 3.68-3.77. Soybean bids were 8 to 9 cents lower
at 6.91-7.01.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids steady
to 3 cents lower at 3.72-3.80. Soybean bids were 7 to 11 cents lower at
7.04-7.18.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were steady to 3
cents lower at 3.80-3.89. Soybean bids were 5 to 9 cents lower at 7.05-7.17.
Wheat bids were 4 to 9 cents lower at 3.87-4.07. Milo bids were steady to
4 cents lower at 3.53-3.65.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
