Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 11:30 a.m.;   Subject to change

   Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during March by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt.  Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified.  All other wheat and barley bids are for full March delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

   May wheat futures closed 20-1/4 to 22-1/2 cents per bushel lower
compared to Tuesdays closes.

   Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein for March Portland delivery, trended steady to 10 cents per
bushel lower compared to Tuesdays noon bids.

   Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for March
delivery were 22 cents per bushel lower in following the moderately lower
Kansas City May wheat futures.  Some exporters were not issuing bids for
March delivery.

   Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for March
delivery trended 20 cents per bushel lower compared to Tuesdays
noon bids in lining up with the lower Minneapolis May wheat futures.

   Bids for US 2 barley for March delivery were not fully established
as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

   Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn ranged from 3-1/4 to five cents per cwt
lower compared to Tuesdays noon bids in reaction to the lower Chicago
May corn futures.
