Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators

This is Thursday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mostly higher on Thursday afternoon.
Strong reported export sales for the week, good commercial interest and
the weak US dollar combined to drive prices higher.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids 4 to 8 cents higher at 3.18-3.31. Soybean bids were up 33 to
40 cents at 10.64-10.81.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
4 to 6 cents higher at 3.22-3.28. Soybean bids were up 24 to 32 cents
at 10.81-10.99.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 4 to 8 cents
highr at 3.22-3.42. Soybean bids were up 24 to 34 cents at 10.61-10.86.
Wheat bids were mixed at 3.67-4.02. Milo bids were 5 to 10 cents higher
at 2.51-2.71.

Commercial grain prices paid farmers by Interior Illinois Country Elevators
after 2.00 p.m. today are listed below in dollars per bushel:
