Portland Daily Grain Report
Bids as of 11:30 a.m.; Subject to change

Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during May by rail or
barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars
per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as
specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full May delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

July wheat futures closed 13-1/4 to 20-1/2 cents per bushel lower
compared to Thursdays closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat, any protein and maximum 10.5 percent
protein for May Portland delivery, trended five cents per bushel lower
than Thursdays noon bids in reaction to substantially lower Chicago July
wheat futures.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for May
delivery were 11 to 13 cents per bushel lower than Thursdays noon
bids, with pressure coming from lower Kansas City July wheat futures,
although some exporters raised their basis in order to partially offset
the lower futures.

Bids for 14 percent protein US 1 Dark Northern Spring for May delivery
declined by 21 cents per bushel in lining up with lower Minneapolis July
spring wheat futures.

Bids for US 2 barley for May delivery were not fully established
as most exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn ranged from 18-3/4 to 20 cents per cwt
lower than Thursdays noon bids. Lower Chicago July corn futures weighed
on cash bids.
