BEIJING(Dow Jones)--China's edible oil prices face high upward pressure on rising import prices, according to a General Administration of Customs report. Domestic demand hasn't risen significantly in the current weak consumption season, but the prices of foreign brands are rising, said the Customs in an analysis report published on its Web site Wednesday. Meanwhile, big global grain and oil traders have increased their investments in China's logistics sector this year, strengthening their control over the country's grain and oil market, it added. China imported 4.37 million metric tons of edible vegetable oil in the first seven months of this year, down 9.1% on year. -Zheng Xiaolu contributed to this story, Dow Jones Newswires; 8610 6588-5848; tracy.zheng@dowjones.com
